In fact the game is that good that I would recommend it to people who aren’t fans of this specific genre to add it to your library for the low cost of purchasing. Final Fantasy VII is an absolute must buy for any fans of the RPG genre in 1997. It was also nice to see a couple of new additions present in the gameplay because the speed mechanic in particular gives the gameplay a more modern feel and it also stops things from getting tedious.
In terms of the gameplay I think the game has aged well and playing through the content stayed fun and interesting through my actual completion of the game for the 1st time in 22 years. For me the presentation side of the game has also stood the test of time and whilst it does look dated despite the small improvements, no one forgets the sound and game they fell in "love" with so many years ago. I will admit I had forgotten some parts of the story and to experience those parts again was a nostalgia feast that has stood the test of time.
Final Fantasy VII again makes me realise why I love this game so much, and wonder why I never took the time to finish it originally despite my work and life schedule taking a vast turn just after the games release.
